NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk Dupe J.Cat The Big Eye Pencil in Marshmallow

Hi All,

Today I will be reviewing J.Cat The Big Eye Pencil in Marshmallow which is an AMAZING dupe for NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

I know NYX Jumbo Pencil is one of the most affordable drugstore makeup. However, Girlie Stuff from Facebook (I have mentioned her before in my previous post) is selling these J.Cat product which is a more cheaper alternative than NYX. And if you are getting something cheaper with the same quality... welll!! Who would not go for that?!

I always buy most of my makeup from Girlie Stuff, and this time; when I ordered NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk; she gave me J.Cat The Big Eye Pencil in Marshmallow with my order to review it.

So after a week of using both these pencils, I have concluded that J.Cat The Big Eye Pencil in Marshmallow is EXACT copy of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. The creamy pigmentation, the smooth texture, the staying power, even the color is as same as NYX. No one can tell the difference between the two. You can see in the swatch below.

Blended
Even though J.Cat Pencil is same as NYX, with the rounded pencil for application, it is still a good alternative.

NYX in Milk and J.Cat in Marshmallow
I had applied NYX on my one eye and J.Cat on my other as an eyeshadow base for work. By the end of the day, both of my eye makeup was still fresh without any fading or creasing.

The price of  NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the market is around AED 30; where as Girlie Stuff sells it for AED 25 and J.Cat for AED 19. I believe it is a good deal for those who want to buy more of the jumbo pencils.

All in all, I am totally happy with J.Cat product. Though it is a mirror copy of NYX Jumbo Pencil; I am totally satisfied with this product.

Note: This product was sent to me for reviewing purposes and my opinion is completely honest.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: Amsterdam, Milan and Antwerp

I have been on the spree in buying more of lip products than any other makeup. I am a huge fan of NYX products as they are super affordable and available at all leading stores here in Dubai. But recently, Girlie Stuff; from whom I purchase most of my stuff and who was my first online purchase ever started selling all the NYX products which most of them are not available here. So I did not think twice when I ordered 2 of the lip cream from her and totally will be ordering more.

I have 3 of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam, Milan and Antwerp.

What the product claims?
Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.

• What it is: Highly pigmented, matte lip cream
• What it does: Creates various matte lip looks
• Why we love it: Delightfully creamy and lightweight, our award winning line just expanded with two captivating new shades.

Available in 13 amazing shades.

Price: Affordable :p

My review on Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream: Amsterdam, Milan and Antwerp:
All the brands have their product claims close to be being true. But the product claim for NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM is 110% true. It is actually neither a lip gloss, or stain or lipstick.

I have 3 colors from this range.

Amsterdam: Pure red color with blue under-tone. This color is a beautiful shade of red. I love how it shows on my lips and red always make my teeth look whiter. I guess this color can be pulled off on any skin tone.

Milan: Mid-tone blue-toned pink. A gorgeous pink that will suit fair tone girls more, but does not look so bad on slightly darker tones (since I got little tan from my Saudi visit.)

Antwerp: Mid-tone yellow-toned pink. A beautiful matte coral pink color. The color is almost similar to Milan which with just the difference of Antwerp being a yellow-tone pink.

It is lip cream which is very light on lips and applies like silky smooth. Upon first application, lips are coated in a lipstick-like cream that feels creamy to touch. However, with the second application; it dries to matte giving full saturated and covered lips.

It may be feel pretty dry to some lips and one can always apply a balm before or after the application; but I like to leave it like that since I adore matte finish. But it does not feel so drying where you may want to remove the entire product from your lips.

It comes with a standard doe-shape applicator which most of the lip glosses have and is very compact to carry it around with you.

It is highly pigmented matte lip color and very comfortable to apply. It gives a nice overall finish to the lips.
It has a sugary vanilla scent to it, and I love smelling the applicator every time before applying. The smell stays on lip for decent amount of time.

Since it is matte, and matte finish products tend to cling on our face or lips for long hours, this lip cream was no different. The color stays on lips without smudging or fading for good 5-6 hours.

I would say it has little waterproof tendency as it still stays on my lips when I am making my ablution at work twice for prayers. By the end of the day when I am heading back home, the color is till faint on my lips leaving a pretty stain.

Swatches:

In Sunlight
In Shade

Amsterdam
Milan
Antwerp
L to R: Milam, Amsterdam and Antwerp
Final Verdict:
With the range of colors and the price, NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM is a product that every girl should own. It is light and creamy on lips yet giving a full color application once it dried to matte. The 3 colors are my most favorite out of which, Antwerp is the most used color for my everyday makeup. Do have a glance at this range from NYX.

Do let me know if any of you owe one of this product in the comment below and what are your views on it.

YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in 6 Pink in Devotion

OK, here is the deal. I know I have enough makeup that can last me forever and possibly I have duplicate colors. But I want to owe atleast ONE product from high-end brand. Let's just say it's like I am on a mission to have branded cosmetics in my makeup vanity.

So here I am, reviewing one of the most beautiful brand - Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Rouge Volupté Shine.

Rimmel London - Apocalips Lip Lacquer 301 Galaxy

OK..maybe I have too much time today or I am just in the mood to sit infront of my lappy and do these posts. :D

Anyways, here I am; yet again with another post on Rimmel London - Apocalips Lip Lacquer.

What the product claims?
It's the End of Colour as you know it!
The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine.
It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both!
LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!
Available in 8 colors

My Take on Rimmel London - Apocalips Lip Lacquer 301 Galaxy:
Is it just me, or does the product claim really sound like the world is ACTUALLY ending?
Anyhow, Rimmel had launched this Lip Lacquer few months back. I happen to just go for some window shopping to Centerpoint (I do it every weekend as a stress-reliever from work!) and my eyes fell on these babies.

I literally tried all these colors on me, and all of them were looking PRETTY on my lips. But I had to pick up only one, which I could use it for office/day use (I go out only during my office time, so I have to consider my selection depending on this).

So I picked up 301 Galaxy, which is a beautiful pink-mauve color.
I have mentioned in 2-3 posts on my blog that I am not a fan of glosses. I hate the feeling of sticky, tacky lips and prefer a lip stain or a matte finish over shiny lips.
Just like the company claims, it is neither a gloss nor a lipstick. Something falling in between these two classifications.
It is beautifully pigmented and I just cannot describe you how smoothly it glides on the lips. I don't think I have come across and lipstick or lip gloss that applies as melted as this does. It comes with a sponge tip-flat brush which makes it easy application.

It is not at all sticky or tacky. It is very light weight on the lips and has just enough of shine to give that sultry look.

It tends to stay on the lips all day, but loses it shine in few hours. The lacquer has a nice faint smell which I can only describe as a lipstick smell with a little of something in it (I can't put my finger at this "something")
The lip lacquer in Galaxy is one of the colors that I believe would suit any skin tone. It is such a beautiful GORGEOUS color; one cannot afford to miss it.

SWATCHES:

 PROS:
- Available in 8 beautiful colors
- Not sticky and tacky
- Light on weight
- Beautiful pigmentation
- Not so glossy nor matte
- 301 Galaxy would suit any skin tone
- Has a nice faint smell
- Tends to last long on the lips, even with the shine gone
- Available at all Rimmel stations.
- Affordable price (Cannot recall the price. But if anyone needs to know, I can always check it out for you!)
 CONS:
NOTHING!
Final Verdict:
If the world is going to end, then this has to be the last lip product you should own. Rimmel really knows how to grab their customer's attentions, with a name like APOCALIPS; it is hard to miss from your eye-shot. I loved their Apocalips Lip Lacquer in in Big Bang. Red is one of my most favorite colors when it comes to lipsticks, as it makes my teeth whiter and bright. I was in true dilemma between Galaxy and Big Bang, but decided to break from the Red gang as I already owe 9-10 red lip products. (Let me know if you want a RED HAUL on my lip products!)

P.S: I have no ides why the white highlight is showing. Sorry if this post looks ugly :(

BOURJOIS SWEET KISS NATRUAL LIPSTICK IN ROSE PASSIONNE

Today I am reviewing one of the first few matte lipstick. I have always been a fan of this drugstore makeup as it is not very pricey and they have good quality makeup with beautiful pigment, followed with variety of colors.

DMGM Gloss Explosion in Exotic Fuchsia 555

It feels like ages since I did a post. I been very busy with my work and gym and swimming, that I would reach home pretty late and hit the bed. Also, I don’t even get time to do makeup in the mornings since these. I been sticking to just doing a winged liner without any kohl or color on the eyes, keeping it simple and yet fresh. Let me know if you want to know how I do my every day makeup in the comment below.

Anyways, today I finally got time to do a review on my recent obsession from DMGM cosmetics – Gloss Explosion in Exotic Fuchsia. I don’t know much about this brand, however; I saw this lip gloss with one of my friend and fell in LOVE with it.

Costal Scents: Winterberry Palette

Winter is coming to an end soon. So to bid farewell to the season of cold, I am reviewing the Winterberry Palette by Coastal Scents. I have already reviewed their Think Pink palette here.

I ordered this palette from their official website along with their Duo Defining Wand Set which I also reviewed here. Like I have mentioned in my previous reviews on Coastal Scents, I LOVE their products. They are super pigmented and they have some amazing sales happening every now and then. I have never faced any issue in terms of their delivery and order.
